The Story of KE30
Few years back when I was in UK, a friend of mine who lives in Tanjong Nangka had this ‘old’ car sitting in the garage for more than 10 years and it was a white four door sedan : 1976-1978 Toyota Corolla KE30. To cut the story short I bought the car for $400 Brunei Dollars and send them to Toyota workshop for restoring the engine. If I recalled, I spent about $800++ for changing all the engine parts and $700 Brunei Dollars for crappy body works and repaint and now (2006) i have to redo it again. It really sucks.
BTW, Thats not the only corolla that I have, I have another corolla (1992, AE101) which is in a different workshop for a new paint job =).
